The NMFs are naturally occurring substances in our Skin that keep it hydrated and protected. NMFs along with the naturally occurring lipids protect the Skin from dehydration. The NMF is composed of Amino Acids, Lactic Acid and Lactate Salts (usually Sodium Lactate), sodium PCA (Pyrrolidone Carboxylic Acid), Urea, Metal Ions and, Sugars.
